We discovered this orange flag in the grass when we went out to the JJ Cahill Memorial High School in Mascot.

Last week Bruce, Justine and Lucas went on the road. We visited some of the schools around Sydney who will be playing host to the Good Vibrations caravan.
On Thursday, Justine and Lucas went to JJ Cahill Memorial High School near Mascot, and Kingsgrove North High School. Our aim was to chat with the teachers, so they had an idea of what we are on about with the project, as well as to scope out a good site to locate the caravan. Without Bruce and Michael being with us (they were hard at work programming the technical wizardry inside the caravan) we weren’t really sure what the best spot would be to set up. So we took a bunch of photos and some video to show them.
Above is a panorama of the general site. We need to set up near a building so we can run power from it. But we also were looking for a spot which had lots of diverse visual and audio landscapes. This spot wasn’t bad - we can pull the caravan in easily from the side road get electricity from the classroom nearby, and are surrounded by swishing trees and low flying aeroplanes, as well as:

squawking birds,

fluorescent sports flags,
metallic poles and cricket nets that resonate and clank like musical instruments when you drag a stick against them, and

weeds.
